How Do I Know If People Are Finding My Site?

Google, Yahoo and Bing account for nearly 80% of all search engine traffic. Find a way to make your site visible on one or all of these and it will increase the rankings of your site. You will be found by these search engines if you have unique content on your website and enough information for them to find you. The way you display this information will also determine whether you will be found. Organized content will allow search engines to find it more quickly and easily. Don’t overuse a certain keyword or phrase on your website or the search engines will detect that as spam.

Link building can help with search engines finding your website. Submit your site to multiple directories related to your product or service, or a local directory. Search engines will find your site through these directories. Other marketing materials not promoted online such as business cards, print advertisements, tv, and radio are other sources to take advantage of. Those were great examples of how to know if people are finding your site, but to attract more people is what to be concerned about.

Promote your website by adding your email address and URL address on every business card, letterhead, brochure or any other type of promotional ad material. Create content in your meta tag and title so that the search engines are able to index you properly. Any news within your company, make sure to let your followers know with a press release.
