Guess Who Has Increased Their User Privacy Controls?

Google has started to increase their user privacy controls and has removed the website that has FAQs in response to these concerns over how the search giant collects these massive amounts of information.

All users have been able to control their privacy settings for a long time, such as location history and able to save your web browsers addresses so it makes it easy to go back to that page with no hassle. This is use in targeted advertising. When managing the controls it can be confusing at points and very time consuming but because of these settings they are in various places all over web that aren’t easy to find.

Users will be able to use their “My Account” which can provide a security backup and checkup when needed. Or they can check off which data they want to show to the public or to keep private.

With Google having a new website about FAQs, such as were the company would sell more personal data and what information is being provided to the advertisers. Data control has shown more important increases to users in such recent years as more day-to-day activity continue to move to the Internet.

A years back it was said that some classified documents  had been leaked out, showing the United States National Security Agency was engaging themselves in this mass collection of phone records, placing companies that could have huge amounts of data. Examples like: Google, Facebook and Apple. Only 9% of people in the recent years that took a survey feel that they had a lot of control over their data.
